Botanical Decorators Recognized for Award-Winning Landscape Designs

We are pleased to announce that Botanical Decorators has received two national awards from PLANET and five regional awards from the MD/DC/VA Landscape Contractors Association (LCA) recognizing us for our work in 2014!

PLANET’s 2014 National Landscape Awards of Excellence.

We were honored by PLANET (Professional Landcare Network) during the 2014 Excellence in Landscape Awards, where we were the recipients of two Grand Awards; one of the projects was nominated for the Judge’s Choice competition.

Our design of a modern outdoor stone patio in Washington, DC was awarded the Grand Award from PLANET & Outdoor Living Space Grand Award for excellence in residential design build from the LCA. The project featured a lush, green garden and bold paving stones in a landscape on DC’s Q Street.

The transformation of a historic property into an amazing Estate landscape in Alexandria, VA was recognized with the PLANET Grand Award and the Total Residential Contracting Grand Award, as well as the Craftsmanship Grand Award from the LCA. With views of the Potomac River, the 2.5 acre estate includes a pool and pool house, front entry court, multiple garden designs, a large lawn area, and more. This project was also a candidate for the Judges Choice Award with PLANET.

Our front yard landscaping work in Herndon, Virginia’s Pond Mist Way received the Residential “Front Entryway” Grand Award from the LCA. The project was honored for its flowery, colorful plantings, curved, brick entryway, and alpine lawn that bring the street and family parking court together.

The design and installation of a free form oasis pool with a custom deck and landscaping in Columbia, MD earned us the Outdoor Living Space Distinction Award from the LCA. The project, based in Columbia’s Pointers Overlook, includes space for outdoor dining, relaxing near the pool on Adirondack chairs, a connection to the walkout basement, and of course, the beautiful swimming pool.
