PROJECT SUMMARY: Residential Landscaping Ellicott City, MD

"If we'd known ahead of time what we wanted, this would have been it." This is a quote from our client. We were hired on the premise that we would build them an oasis for their Ellicott City, Maryland home. They wanted it to be comfortable for a family of five as well as a gathering for over a hundred. The client ended their input there. The project site had a significant grade change and presented some challenging design constraints, so they gave Botanical Decorators’ design team a carte blanche approach in designing and executing every detail of the project.

When asked if they wanted to be involved, the client replied "Surprise us". This confidence came from the fact that we had completed five of their neighbors & friends homes in the Ellicott City community of Hawkesfield and they loved our work. The custom stone work included radial cut stair treads, wall caps and custom cut & fitted broken flagstone around the pool. The Coping was fabricated on site from broken flagstone with perfect radial cuts & finished with a relief edge, and then flame torched to bring back the natural stone texture. The curved arbor for the dining terrace was framed using a template that matched the curve of the patio. The fencing is industrial grade aluminum with rivet fittings and heavy-duty hinges & handles.

The pool has all the bells and whistles including pool lights that change the water color, a pebble-sheen interior finish, super efficient filters, auto cleaner, a high efficiency heater as well as pumps & jets for  the spa that can be used year round. This pool is as low maintenance as they come. The plantings are soft and bursting with color and texture. Botanical Decorators also designed the furniture arrangement and seasonal pots to complete this project. No detail was left to chance.
