Botanical Decorators owes its reputation to its talented staff of designers and craftspeople. Each project starts with our award-winning designers, who find creative solutions that meet the unique needs of every client. Then, our craftspeople, from horticulturists to masons, provide only the highest quality landscape installations.
Design
Botanical Decorators specializes in providing distinctive, residential, custom services. Our unique design studio environment means that your plan is addressed with a 'team approach,' with each designer bringing their special talents to the table. This ensures that the plan has been carefully reviewed before you see it. Our talented staff of five landscape architects and designers has the ability to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary.
Christopher Cahill: President
As President and Lead Designer of the firm, Christopher's design principles set the standards on which we pride ourselves. Christopher works mainly with his existing clientele, and will team with or support his other designers on projects that require his expertise. It is his pleasure to be in this role, for he believes each member of his design staff brings very unique talents to the firm.
Steve Wlodarczyk: Vice President
Steve is a Licensed Landscape Architect and graduated from West Virginia University in 1992, with a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture. He came to Botanical Decorators in 1998. As our Senior Architect, he is capable of developing innovative designs for a wide variety of projects; however his focus is on comprehensive master plans installed over several years. Steve's diverse range of project experience brings creative design solutions to the most challenging sites and allows him to exceed his clients' expectations.
Morgan Washburn: Designer
Morgan's degree is from Johns Hopkins University. He specializes in the roof-top gardens and small courtyard gardens of DC. He has also tackled the large-scale landscape renovations in Virginia and Maryland's most distinctive homes.
Brian Hahn: Designer
Brian has a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture from West Virginia University. Brian has the unique way of bringing a distinctive style to a project. If you want a truly distinctive look to your property, Brian is your man. With him, you will get the closest attention to the customer service details and follow through to your needs.
Scott Pitner: Designer
Scott is our company's newest Designer. His degree in Landscape Horticulture/Design and Contracting is from Colorado State University. He was asked to join our firm for his fresh new look at the projects that need a special solution to an acquired or difficult situation. He has proven himself and has done some incredible work for the firm over the last two years.
Installation
Botanical Decorators has assembled the industry's finest craftsmen and technicians. They ensure that your design is executed to the highest level of quality and in the most professional manner.
Production Manager: David Plues
David Plues runs our production department with the precision of a surgeon. He will ensure that you have a professional experience from the day we break ground on your project, to the time he will do the final walk-through. His commitment is not limited to the normal workday; he is available at all times to answer your questions. He brings more than fifteen years experience to this position. He has his degree from Penn State University in Ornamental Nursery Management.
Landscape Installation
Botanical Decorators has four landscape installation crews, each specializing in the softscape portion of your project. Each crew's foreman insures that all plantings are installed to the highest of horticultural standards. Your landscape installation crew will also handle the grading, drainage, lighting and sod installation portions of your project.
Masonry
Botanical Decorators works in conjunction with some of the industries leading masons to implement the hardscaping of your project.
Jose heads his own division of the company that specializing in old world stone work and water features.
Luis also heads his own separate division in masonry, working around our pools and does most of the engineered projects.
Carpentry
Botanical Decorator's talented staff of carpenters can bring the most intricate of woodworking projects to life. From the construction of pool houses, detached garages and sunrooms to elegant arbors, we have the same expectation of unparalleled quality.

For our projects involving a fence installation, Botanical Decorators is proud to work with Frederick Fence. Our coordinated efforts span 10+ yrs. and offer the best in product and service. We assist our clients in selecting the perfect fence style to compliment their new landscape project, meet HOA requirements and local building codes. Choose from a complete line of fence types, styles and materials to provide security, privacy and distinction to your property.
Accessories:
Outdoor kitchens complete with icemakers, infrared grills, and sinks/bars are becoming a "must have" component for any outdoor space where people want to entertain. We work with Appliance Builders Wholesale to select perfect outdoor appliances to meet each client's needs.
Support Staff
What makes it a positive experience working with Botanical Decorators is its support staff. They are always available to you, so questions get answered and you are kept up-to-date throughout your project.
General Manager: Kathy Wampler
As an officer of the company, Kathy handles all of the financial transactions. She is the person you should direct all of your billing questions to.
Office Manager: Tsili Wolf
Tsili's responsibilities are to be the direct link to the customer. She is available during hours of operation to find the answer to any question or concern you, the customer, may have. Tsili is also the communication director, ensuring that all information flows smoothly through the company. She sees that customer needs are directed to the right person, bringing a quick resolution to any problem.
