Home Tennis Court Builders: Custom Design-Build

There are a number of considerations our landscapers must make before creating and implementing a home tennis court design. It is essential that your yard be properly graded and with a functioning drainage system in order to keep your tennis court protected from heavy rain and to prevent it from sinking and cracking later. If the only flat portion of your lawn is not in an ideal area, we will need to grade the space you prefer and compact the soil so that the design works for you long-term.

This is exactly what we did for a tennis court construction project we completed in Clarksville, MD. The only flat space large enough to fit a court was in the front yard, which wasn’t ideal aesthetically. So we engineered the tennis court in the side yard, removing some of the grade to make space for compactable fill and to create a stable base for the court.

Our Ellicott City home tennis court project is another great example of our award-winning landscape design-build projects. The soil on site was not compactable and while the tennis court was a priority for the husband, who played professionally, the wife preferred to have other views from the interior windows. We were able to complete grading and compacting for so that we could position the new court perfectly to the sun without detracting from the other views the wife wanted.
